Take control of your mind and heart using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Sometimes our mind reacts to difficult situations with automatic negative thoughts. These thoughts sometimes make our negative emotions more powerful. This app is a simple interactive log that allows you to match up your negative thoughts with cognitive distortions. This process of identifying cognitive distortions and finding rational positive thoughts to counteract the negative thoughts can powerfully affect your emotions for the better. FEATURES:INTERACTIVE MOOD LOG:After describing an emotionally significant situation, identify emotions and negative thoughts. Identify cognitive distortions, and then find positive thoughts to counteract the negative thoughts. Finally, review your thoughts and emotions and look for improvement or areas needing more work. MOOD LOG REVIEW:Have the option of saving your logs to be reviewed at a later time to help you see trends or patterns. All intellectual concepts in this app are due to Dr. David Burns (http://feelinggood.com). This apps sole purpose is to be a convenient access to Dr. Burns method.EDIT: 2.0.1 Update: Fixed a problem on some devices where a progress bar was shown and the app didnt do anything2.0.0Removed little-used features. Tried to clean up UI and also fixed many data errors.

I love this, thank you for creating. I started using the app today and I'm currently studying Dr. Burns approach. Good stuff! Many thanks!

An overall nice experience. Helpful if you want to drill down on a thought.

This app is very helpful so far. However, in the entry log it is switching the Emotion Review before and after scores. I know what they mean, but it would be nice to have that fixed.

Great app but has bugs. The summary results at the end didn't match what I had entered. Needs work.

Good, but really not a way to export your data. Either upload text or csv to google drive or send to email. You can back up to Google drive but the user doesn't have any way to access the raw data.

Simple and easy to use. Works well with my CBT & DBT skills classes & apps. I love that I can back them up so I can print them for my teachers for class or therapist and I can lock so my thoughts aren't out there for just anyone to view. I love this app and appreciate the effort put forth to build. Thank you!

Excellent! The developer responded swiftly to the few complaints I had, resolving all the major issues I could find with this otherwise excellent tool. It's a tremendously useful utility, and I'm so grateful to have it.

Consistently crashes on my LG V30 (Verizon). Edit: it crashes immediately upon launch. I'm not sure how to reply to developer replies except by editing my review, so I will contact you by email to allow for further development of the issue. 2017-12-26: After installing v. 1.21, the app is working properly. I'm happy to have it back in my CBT toolkit. Thanks for the prompt bug fix!

I love it because it fits right in with the techniques in the Feeling Good bk. Wish there were more of them to choose from but get the difficulty in that. Would be nice to possibly have a way to lock an entry. Not completely comfortable having my inner thoughts out in the open so to speak.

A straightforward and simple implementation of the Feeling Good Handbook CBT Mood Log, which is exactly what I was looking for. Suffers from some layout issues though, with the keyboard covering text boxes and buttons occasionally overlapping.
